About the Speakers

Juan Cáceres
CCO, Al Kamel Systems

Juan started his career in racing in 1995 in the Cadetes division of the Uruguayan Karting Championship. He achieved notable success in karting, winning the Copa Mercosur and Campeonato de Verano in 1996 before transitioning to open-wheel racing. He raced for Formula Honda in Argentina, Skip Barber Formula Dodge Midwestern Regional Championship in the United States, Italian Formula Renault and Argentine Formula Super Renault.

In 2003, Cáceres won the Formula BMW Junior Cup and tested a Benetton Formula One car at Circuit de Catalunya. He then joined Giancarlo Minardi’s driver academy. In 2004, he moved to Spanish Formula 3, and in 2005, he raced in Italian Formula 3000. Notably, Cáceres tested a Minardi PS05 Formula One car in 2005. In 2006, he continued in Euroseries 3000 and briefly entered the Champ Car World Series.

After retiring from professional race driving, Juan worked as an F1 Commentator as well as for Sportlink Uruguay as a Production and Operations Manager. He joined Al Kamel Systems in 2019, where he now serves as Chief Commercial Officer.

Lluís Porqueras
Project Manager & Data Operator, Al Kamel Systems

Lluís has been passionate about motorsports from an early age, with a particular focus on circuit racing cars. 

He studied Industrial Engineering in Barcelona at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. However, his professional career began earlier when he started to work as a karting mechanic. 

During his studies, he transitioned to working with racing cars, where he served as a race engineer for NM Racing Team. He completed his internship and thesis at QEV Tech, where he developed a simulator for Formula 4.  

Afterwards, he joined Al Kamel Systems where he currently holds the position of Project Manager and Data Operator. In these roles, he actively contributes to major motorsporting events, including FIA WEC, the 24h of Le Mans, IMSA, FIA Formula E, Racing Weekend by RFEdA and Ferrari Challenge, among others.
