Masterclass - F1 Front Wing Footplate Design
with Daniel Vass (Surface Design Engineer)

About the event
At the front wing, the footplate plays a critical role in managing airflow and influencing overall aerodynamic performance. In this session, you’ll see how parametric CAD techniques are used to build adaptable geometry that can be quickly modified and refined as design requirements evolve.
Led by Daniel Vass, this masterclass focuses on the practical side of CAD development in motorsport. He will walk through how engineers structure their models, apply design logic, and maintain control over complex surfaces when working on detailed components like the front wing footplate.
Ideal for CAD modellers, engineers, and motorsport enthusiasts, the session provides insight into real-world design workflows used in high-performance environments. You’ll gain a clearer understanding of how structured modelling approaches support faster iteration, consistency, and more effective design decisions.
Daniel will also tell us about the CAD Career Accelerator Program – don’t miss this chance to engage in a discussion with a Formula One engineer and build your network through this event!
