About the speaker
Alfonso Faure Meza
Operational Project Engineer at McLaren Racing
Alfonso is an Operational Project Engineer at McLaren Racing, working on the coordination and delivery of complex engineering projects within one of motorsports’ most demanding environments. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Global MBA from Bologna Business School.
After several years across different industries, he began his automotive career first as Production and planning Engineer for Kyoto Toyota Mexico. Then, he moved to Europe to peruse motorsport career starting as a Tooling and Technology Engineer Intern at Ferrari, where he gained firsthand experience supporting engineering and manufacturing processes. He then moved into a PMO role within the high-performance automotive sector, working as a Project Coordinator at Automobili Lamborghini, contributing to the management of complex technology and infrastructure programs.
Since 2024, Alfonso has been part of McLaren Racing as a Project Engineer under the Suspension and Brake team, where he works closely with multiple technical departments to coordinate and deliver performance-critical projects under the tight timelines imposed by the Formula 1 race calendar.
