Masterclass: F1 Flat Floor Aerodynamics
with David Felis (ex F1 Aerodynamicist)
About the event
Learn the aerodynamic challenges behind the F1 flat floor – one of the most critical changes coming up in 2026 F1 aerodynamics. We’ll also explore the diffuser kickline, its impact on flow structures, and how teams maximise this area for performance gains.
Led by David Felis, former F1 Senior Aerodynamicist at Williams and Haas, this session will take you behind the scenes of how teams design and refine the flat floor and diffuser regions to increase downforce.
Whether you’re a student, engineer, or motorsport enthusiast, this is an opportunity to learn from someone who spent nearly a decade working at the pinnacle of motorsport aerodynamics.
Don’t miss your chance to ask questions, gain practical knowledge, and connect with others passionate about F1 engineering!
